BIOGRAPHY OF KREA SLEDGE, J.D. A native of central Illinois, Krea Sledge received her B.A. in English from Illinois State University before attending law school at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Illinois. During law school, Krea worked at Land of Lincoln Legal Assistance Foundation where she assisted her supervising attorney with divorce and custody cases. After tracking a study in Natural Resources, Krea graduated May 2001 with her Juris Doctor degree. Krea moved to northern Colorado shortly after graduation, and began working for Phillips Petroleum Company as a contract attorney in their development of coal bed methane gas. When her work with Phillips was complete, Krea took the position of associate attorney with a Greeley law firm where she worked primarily in the area of family law. After two years as an associate, Krea partnered with Amy Antommaria to form their law firm of Antommaria & Sledge, LLC. Krea’s work experience is focused mainly in the field of family law, which includes divorce, custody, child support, visitation, legal separation, and paternity. Krea has also worked on cases involving debt collection, unpaid wages, driver’s license suspension, DUI, breach of contract, and mineral interests to name a few. When not practicing law, Krea spends her time riding her horses, competing with her dog in agility, and tending to all her critters. Krea owns and raises quarter horses, and frequently rides the parks and trails of Colorado. Her border collie, Pepper, tags along for all trail rides on weekends when she is not competing in agility. Krea began training Pepper in agility in 2003 when Pepper was just one year old. Pepper has competed in numerous agility trials on the weekends, and frequently places in her class. Pepper competed in the USDAA Nationals in November 2005, and will return in 2006. For more information on Pepper and her agility achievements, visit Pepper’s link. As for Krea’s other critters, they include several barn cats, chickens, rabbits, and a turtle named Herbie. View them all at the critter page. |
